Theme week: Febuary 12th - 18th Public Domain Stories
It’s time for the first theme week of sketchbet!
THE THEME IS PUBLIC DOMAIN STORIES!
What does that mean?
If something is in the public domain that means no one owns the copyright. Things like Sherlock Holmes, Shakespeare, Fairytales, and Alice in Wonderland are examples of things in the public domain. Generally, things before the 1920s are public domain. But be careful because there are some exceptions like Peter Pan is not public domain. Neither is the Great Gatsby (at least not in the US.)
What should I draw?
All this week sketch things from a public domain story. It isn’t limited to characters. You could draw Ahab’s ship or Rapunzel’s tower.
So Fanart?
The one fanart a week is still in effect. What do we mean by that? Well, you can draw Sherlock Holmes, but if you draw this Sherlock or this Sherlock it will count as Fanart. You can draw Alice from Alice in Wonderland, but if you draw this Alice or this Alice it will count as fanart. So you only get one of those.
