20 minute doodle of an excited dog thing’s head, because oh gawd it’s almost the deadline. :B
My friend is getting married in October. This is a picture of him, his bride-to-be his son and their dogs.
so due to the chaos that has been the last week (even if it didn’t seem that way i’ve barely had time to get my drawings done :B) i spent a good half hour of not sleeping to draw this dog who kept moving around.
she would be asleep ,then wake up and started licking this page. i’m also happy to say, this will probably be the last week i have to come over and help out my mother (who broke her knee right as sketchbet started) for half the week. which i’m excited about because then i’ll be able to work on a big school project! AND SPEND MORE TIME ON SKETCHBET! AND THIS OTHER DAILY DRAW. HAHAA.
the best part, i don’t have a scanner, my camera died, so this is a shitty cell photo to get to tumblr. haha.
so there’s a ramble, cause, i just wanted too.

Bella. My heart’s not in it today so here’s a quick marker sketch done of my last dog, from memory.. and.. not particularly accurate.
Thing is, every time I go to draw a dog? It ends up looking a little like Bella. So.
Dog Anatomical study. Built on the skeleton from yesterday. This kind of study, while not particularly exciting, is very useful for understanding how a living form works, which informs one’s drawing of that form. Everyone should do it. I’m pretty good at drawing people, because I’ve practiced it a lot.. I even got a degree! But I’ve very rarely drawn animals. I’m trying to fix that now. So there’s going to be a few more informal dog sketches and then I’m moving on to cats, with a few interruptions here and there to just draw something for pure enjoyment.
